The Marble Caves, one of the most isolated natural treasures of the world, are located in the Patagonian Andes. Formed by waves washing up against calcium carbonate for over 6,000 years, these caves ended up in the smooth and vibrant walls that we see today. This creation of Mother Nature is seated on the joint waters of Argentina and Chile. Also called the Marble Cathedral they are a part of a peninsula made of solid marble and is surrounded by the glacial Lake General Carrera. Their spectacular attraction lies in their swirling pattern which reflects the azure waters of the lake. It is a great tourist spot and is accessible only by boat.
