The Origins of Totalitarianism was published in 1951 and is considered one of the most prominent works of political philosopher Hannah Arendt. The book is divided into 3 parts. In the first part, Arendt examines the history of antisemitism in Europe through cases such as the Dreyfus Affair and the relationship between Jews and the Nation State. The second part is about Imperialism analyzed through continental imperialism and the decline of the Nation-State. The third and final part retraces Totalitarian movements and their rise to power.
