Alexandre Dumas was born on 24th 1802 in Villers-Cotterets, France. His participation in Hermani Battle made him one of the most notable writers of the Romantic movement. He wrote plays, short stories, essays, and novels. His most notable works include The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires), Queen Margot (La Reine Margot) and The Count of Monte Cristo (Le Comte de Monte Cristo). Dumas mastered historical fiction in every way. He died on December 5th, 1870 in Puys. His body was transferred to the Pantheon in Paris in 2002.
