Chateaubriand was born on September 4th 1768 in Saint Malo, France. He was a French writer, journalist, political figure and diplomat. He’s considered the founder of French romanticism. His literary style is unsurpassable in19th century French literature. His books combine history, politics and unique philosophical analysis of human emotions. His most notable books are Memoirs from Beyond Tomb (Mémoires d'outre-tombe), The Genius of Christianity (Le Génie du Christianisme), René (René, ou les Effets des passions) and Itinerary from Paris to Jerusalem (Itinéraire de Paris à Jérusalem). Chateaubriand died in Paris on July 4th 1848.
