An invert is someone who was assigned female at birth but lives as a man and is attracted to woman. Personally, this is a new term to me. The word stems from the latin word meaning "to turn" as a woman choosing to "turn" into a man. Inverts were considered sexual deviants by the western world for many reasons including the "same sex" attraction that the person assigned female at birth experienced.
