In 2010, French writer and traveler Sylvain Tesson acquired a wooden cabin far from everything on the shores of Lake Baikal. There, for six months and five days' walk from the first village, lost in nature, Tesson tried to be happy. Alone, with two dogs, a wood stove, a window open on a lake, he wondered if freedom consisted of owning time. What if happiness were to have solitude, space, and silence - all things that future generations will miss?
