With its gray body, black central tail feathers and black wings, Clark's nutcracker can be found in the coniferous forests of Western Northern America. Its white outer tail feathers and white wing patches are visible in flight. Its wingbeats are slow and deep, and during winter and fall, it wanders to lower elevations. Clark's nutcrackers are seen at picnic grounds and campsites. They're omnivorous. Their diet consists of berries, nuts, seeds, and insects.
