Countess of Lovelace was born Augusta Ada Byron on December 10, 1815, in London. She was a mathematician, and some historians consider her to be the first computer programmer. As a young adult, she studied advanced mathematics under the mentorship of the polymath Charles Babbage. In 1842, she translated "Sketch of the Analytical Engine Invented by Charles Babbage." This article was written in French by the Italian mathematician Luigi Menebrea. In addition to the translation, Countess Lovelace added her notes and descriptions on the programming of Analytical Engine. Countless of Lovelace died in London on November 27, 1852.
