Robusta is produced in Brazil, Southern Asia and West and Central Africa. It is grown in flat plantations. The Robusta plants are easier to grow, more simple to harvest and less labor intensive than the Arabica plants. The Robusta plant produces three times amount of coffee in Arabica plant. The coffee beans yield a bitter taste with more caffeine than the Arabica coffee.
