There are approximately 125 species of Maple Trees, and they can be found in North America, Asia, Europe, and Northern Africa. Their height can reach 40 meters (130 feet). They are used for a variety of things including making furniture and flooring. They are also ideal for firewood. However, the maple trees are used primarily for its sugar. The sap is harvested, then processed to create maple sugar and eventually turned into maple syrup. Canada is the main producer of maple syrup.
